I unpacked the vacuum when it first arrived and the Power Nozzel was crackedwhere you attach it to the handle. Well I still have the cracked one. They told me to cut off the electric cord andthe label and ship the vacuum back to them and they would replace it.
It worked fine but I was concerned about the crack getting worse. I called Hoover and asked them to ship me a replacement and I would use that packaging to return the damaged vacuum. I called Hoover and was told there were noreplacement parts.
I checked with UPS and Fed Ex and found it would cost me close to $50 to have them pack itand ship to Hoover. Hoover said they would check and call me. I actually had to call themthree times over as many months.
They refused to do this.They also said the shipping charges were my responsibility. It is a great product but I do feel cheated and will never buy another Hoover product.
We got this vacuum primarily to clean our area rugs, and it does just that. With 2 cats, we need something that works, and this does the trick. It is easy to maneuver around, and pretty easy to clean.
There are several reasons I love this vacuum:1. Nice, long electrical cord.6. A twisting cord hook that makes it easy to wrap and unwrap the cord. The see-through canister lets you see if it needs emptying.3. This is a must have if you have small, daily cleanups or simply want to keep hard floors or small carpeted areas. Goes from hard floor to a carpet brush at the touch of a switch (conveniently located up high on the vacuum, I might add).4. It is compact and easy to store in a nook or small area.2. A swivel head that maneuvers easily.7.
The carpet brush has enough suction to really do the job, but doesn't suck up the edges of a carpet mat like a regular vacuum does. It really freshens and fluffs the carpet mats, as well.5. We use this vacuum almost daily to clean up after three cats who are very vigorous about tossing cat litter around. spotless.
This small light weight vacuum is terrific. I t has a long cord, which I love. It has a power suction for rugs. I would recommend this product to all
Easy to maneuver, could use a little longer cord but lightweight enough to move from plug to plug. This is my second one. This vacuum does a great job on laminate floors and OK on smaller area rugs using the roto-brush. I only give it 4 stars as I have to modify the filter bag with wire so it doesn't collapse and overheat the motor.It is basically all plastic construction and my first one did break at the swivel head after 3 years. But for the money it has good value and cleans well.
